The goal of this web page is to network Canadian Earthship projects so that we can learn from one another and help to find volunteers for these projects. At this stage our build is done and we are currently closed for tours.

There are many different types of Earthship Construction
The Earth ship Biotecture Crew have laid out these options below and I will be posting my drawing in Jan 2013
The Global Model Earthship is the best current design for North America.
The Volted Gobal has a concrete roof structure as apposed to a metal roof and more theremal mass on the interior walls.
If you are on a small budget then the Simple Survival Pod is your choice!
I went through 4 different Architects and only used one set of local engineers (www.crozier.com). I am happy to share my advice on how to develop your site.
email me if you like at email@example.com
You first step is to take a picture of some plans into the building department of the town that you hope to build in (before you buy the land) and ask the chief building official if you got stamped plans from an Architect and a Structural Engineer and a Mechanical Engineer would they allow you to build the earthship.
This is what I did in Collingwood and so far the town has been great to work with and open to supporting my project.
After meeting with the local building department they said as long as I could get stamped plans that they were cool with me building an Earthship in Collingwood.
Earthship Canada Time Line
The goal of this Earthship Canada page is to link up all of the earthship projects across Canada, so that knowledge can be shared and people can learn how to get involved to learn how to build their own.
